THE Perthshire Cup takes centre stage this weekend and although there is almost a full card of third round ties, two title challengers in the form of Roselea and Alyth have a remaining second round tie to complete.

Roselea will start favourites due to a recent slump in form by Alyth, but they will be missing the goal threat of Jackson.

In the second round there are some cracking ties in the offing where results will be too close to call.

Cross-division clashes finds firstly Craigie entertaining last year’s beaten finalist Auchterarder and holders Ballinluig awaiting the visit of Balmoral.

The Division Two match up of Letham Lads at Comrie should be a feisty affair while, Kettins could spring a shock at the Brig.

Wins are expected for Coupar at Newtyle, the consistent Burrelton at Rattray and the Vale at Bridgeton Utd.

On league business, relegation threatened Breadalbane will seek to make it two out of two wins over title challengers St Johns.

In division two, three home wins looks the likely result for the three main title challengers Fairfield, Letham and the Vale.

Finally, in division three, Glenfarg after their roasting of Star last week should pick up maximum points at home to Meigle, who will feel downtrodden after their 22-goal humping last week.

Kenmore will look to bounce back at home to Methven while Kinrossie and Star will fight for mid-table obscurity.
