SUPER J'S 2008/09

APPLICATION forms have been coming in quickly to be a Super J in the forthcoming season. Once again, GO@L TRAINING are sponsoring our Junior Supporters Club and we are very grateful for their support. Anyone 16 or under can join and the subscription is only £10.

SAINTS TEASERS

LAST week: Alan Lyons was signed by Alex Rennie in 1983.

This week: This goalkeeper signed in 1982 from Bothkennar Juveniles and made one appearance that season when George Tulloch was injured.

He had to wait a further two years before playing his next game for Saints. In total, he made 25 appearances before leaving the club after losing his place to John Balavage. Can you name him?

SUPER J OF THE WEEK

THIS week’s Super J is 15 year old Jamie Scott, from Perth. Jamie attends Perth Academy and his hobbies are golf and playing with his PS2.

He would like to be a building surveyor or join the police. his favourite food is Chinese and his favourite pop group is the Proclaimers.

His favourite present Saints player is Alan Main and favourite past player Simon Donnelly.

If Saints could buy any player regardless of cost he would like them to buy Torres.

SCOTTISH HYDRO ELECTRIC SOCCER WEEK

WE have received over 90 applications already for our Scottish Hydro Electric Soccer Week for 7 to 16 year olds on July 21–25, at McDiarmid Park, 1pm–4pm.

There will be lots of fun training and games along with a visit at some stage from the Saints First Team to check on player's progress.

If you fancy taking part and have not yet applied, you should send in your form as soon as possible as there are only 96 places available. Cost is £50.

SUPER SKILLS SESSIONS

SESSIONS at our County Venues are now completed for the first half of the year and are set to restart when the schools go back in August.

Attendances have been good and this is down mainly to the enthusiasm of our 90 strong coaching team.
