Trinidadian link to Saints

TRINIDAD international and former Dundee United attacker Collin Samuel is training at McDiarmid Park.

Boss Derek McInnes said his former Tannadice team-mate had sought training facilities after a spell with MLS side Toronto.

McInnes, who finds Kenny Deuchar and Martin Hardie removed from his squad, said: “Collin asked if he could come in and train.

“There is nothing more to it at the moment but we might see if he can be fixed-up for a month on loan.”

Socca Warrior Samuel, a pal of former Saint Jason Scotland signed for Toronto in the summer after being released by United. When the 26-year-old arrived in Scotland he scored 16 goals for Falkirk to clinch a £100,000 move to United – but failed to repeat his success at SPL level.
