Saints Community Coaching Team

WE are keen to enlist some new helpers to Saints Community Coaching Team. Along with various in-service sessions, there is the opportunity to attend SFA. courses. Call McDiarmid Park for details.

THERE are still places available for our level 1 Coach Education Courses at Kilgraston next week. Details are: February 12&14, D(Development) 1 at Kilgraston, 6.30-9.30pm. February 17, E(Early Touches) 1 at Kilgraston, 10am to 4pm. March 9&16, Coaching Young Footballers 2 at Kilgraston. Further information can be viewed on the football central website.

WE also have a couple of available slots for local youth teams to attend a coaching session at McDiarmid on Tuesdays, 4.30-6pm every fortnight until March 18. Details from McDiarmid Park.

MEET the Manger Night is rearranged for Monday February 18, at the slightly earlier time of 6pm.

THIS week’s Super J is six-year-old Jack Jardine from Perth. He attends Tulloch Primary School and his hobbies are football and playing on his playstation. He would like to be a footballer when he leaves school. His favourite food is macaroni and favourite pop group is McFly. His favourite present Saints player is Peter McDonald and past Saints player is Jim Weir. He also likes Kenny Miller for Scotland and Ronaldinho is his favourite foreign player. If Saints could buy any player, regardless of cost, he would like them to buy Wayne Rooney.

MEMBERS of our Community Coaching Team are set to attend an in-service training at McDiarmid Park on Saturday February 16, between 10am and 1pm.

We are preparing our Scottish Hydro Electric Super Skills Programme for 2008. This year Primary 4s are now eligible to participate in Soccer Sevens on Thursday evenings, at McDiarmid Park. Proposed dates: Soccer Centre – Perth, P1 to S2, Saturday, February 23; Goalsavers – P5 to S2, Saturday, February 23; Soccer Sevens League – P5 to P7, Monday, February 25; Football Fours – P2 to P4, Wednesday, February 27; Girls Football – P5 to S2, Thursday, February 28; Soccer Sevens Challenge – P4 to P7, Thursday, February 28.
