MORE than 3000 Perth fans have already snapped-up tickets to follow their team to Hampden for the April 20 Scottish Cup semi-final.
Their opposition will be confirmed on Sunday when Rangers and Partick replay at barren Firhill.
Last year, around 5100 fans lapped-up the sunshine action at the National Stadium, despite St Johnstone losing out 2-1 to winners Celtic.
After a slow start, sales for this year’s semi are now picking-up pace, with the national media hype sure to escalate next week.
The £25 tickets have sold out already but others are available priced £22, while the family section is £15 and £5. They are on sale today from 9.30am at McDiarmid and after tomorrow’s Morton match. They will also be available next week during office hours.
It’s just the seventh time in the club’s history that they have reached this stage of the Scottish Cup and having already savoured a Challenge Cup win against Dunfermline, everyone involved with the club is determined to deliver another day to remember next Sunday.
The big game starts at 3pm.
DEREK McINNES wants to take an extended look at trialist midfielder Nick McCoy.
The 21-year-old former Cardiff and MK Dons player impressed against East Fife reserves.
McInnes said: “He has headed back south as previously arranged but he did enough to justify getting him back up next week.
“We’re trying to arrange a game.”
