Saints are favourites to beat Morton, despite poor run of form

FOLLOWING last week’s reverse at Hamilton, St Johnstone’s recent form doesn’t make for pleasant reading.

They’re now without a win in four but before punters become too gloomy, it’s worth noting that Morton have only recorded a single victory in their last 10.

Little wonder they’re scheduled to kick off as bet365’s 3/1 underdogs to win.

As no side has scored more home goals than the Saints (30), Blue Square are completely justified in installing them as their 4/5 favourites, and for punters who enjoy collecting their winnings early, the 13/10 offered by VCBet for St Johnstone to be in front at half time looks difficult to resist.

However, neither side has been in terrific goal-scoring form of late and the 21/20 available at Sportingbet for the match to yield fewer than 2.5 goals is worth considering.

Betdirect’s 7/1 for the home side to register a 2-0 win has proved popular and as two of this season’s four duels have ended as 2-2 draws, the 16/1 offered by Partybets against a repeat of that score tomorrow cannot be discounted; Betfred chalk a hefty 14/1 against a 3-1 home win.
