Old Saint hits an ace

FORMER St Johnstone player Kevin McGowne was on the ball playing a medal round at Crieff.

A six-handicapper, McGowne holed his tee-shot at the 120-yard par three fourth hole.

He pulled out a 52 degree wedge for the uphill shot.

McGowne, now a coach, was playing with long-time footballing pal and his manager at Montrose, Jim Weir.

It was his first hole-in-one since he was a kid.
