Real sparks for football

SAINTS’ legend Roddy Grant was a welcome visitor to the Scottish Hydro Electric Soccer Week Course, which was held at McDiarmid Park this week.

This event, once again, proved very popular, with over 100 youngsters enjoying plenty of football skill practices, competitions and games.

As well as taking part in the six-a-side challenges and passing on some coaching tips, the players were keen to stress the importance of a healthy lifestyle, and how it’s essential if you want to play at the highest level.

In addition to the football activities, each course member received a t-shirt, a football, a ticket to a match at McDiarmid Park, and various other souvenirs.
