SUPPORT is growing for a mass turn-out of Saints fans in Dunfermline on November 1.
The idea was first floated on popular website “Weareperth” and it’s starting to build momentum.
The fan who kicked-off the bid to take a massive blue and white army to East End Park has been delighted with the initial response.
He explained: “The idea is quite simple. We always take a sizeable and very noisy support to Dens Park for the derbies and to major games such as cup semi-finals.
“But our support at other away games can be variable.
“So why don't we try and get a big support to a league game and see if it helps us lift three vital points?
“I’m sure it would give the players a huge lift to see the away end at East End Park full of chanting Saintees.
“I picked a game that was accessible, where we could create a great atmosphere with as many Saints fans there as possible.
“Dunfermline is a good venue as it should be a good game between two good teams.
“It’s a pretty decent place to visit, so we should attract lots of families.
“The idea has been well received on ‘Weareperth’ and is starting to gather momentum.
“If we can make this happen and make a real difference to our turnout I would look to make this an annual event and maybe think about starting a fans forum committee to look at other ideas on how we can attract bigger crowds to McDiarmid.
“It would be great to get as many buses as possible on the road to Dunfermline – and see a convoy of cars heading for East End on November 1.”
Saints boss Derek McInnes said: “Our away fans are always very vociferous and the players appreciate their enthusiastic backing.
“It would be great to have a big following at Dunfermline.”
