ST Johnstone are playing Santa to their fans.
Yesterday, club chairman Geoff Brown announced that prices were being slashed for the league leaders’ home game with Clyde on December 27.
Fans will gain admission to McDiarmid for £10 and £5.
It’s a crucial spell for the club as they bid to strengthen their grip on pole position in the title race.
Brown said: “It is a big game for the club and we’re keen to get a good crowd along to back the team. People at a loose end with Christmas out of the way might be tempted to take in the game.
“It’s an expensive time of year and tickets for the cup tie with Rangers are also being snapped up.
“This gesture might encourage more supporters to come along and create an atmosphere, with very few Clyde fans likely to travel.
“Fans have been coming back to the stadium and the team has gone 12 games without losing.
“We want to make sure the momentum continues to build.”
Saints are selling discounted season tickets, which are valid for the Clyde game.
The west stand is £150 (adult) and £80 (U16 and seniors). The east is £130 (adult), £50 (seniors), £30 (U16) and £80 (16-18).
