McKoy ready for his move
THE transfer window doesn’t open until the start of January but Nick McKoy has been given permission to leave Saints early.
The former Wimbledon and Cardiff City midfielder was lured north in August on a short-term contract.
But he has made just six appearances for the Perth club.
Manager Derek McInnes said: “Nick is finishing up this week and heading home for Christmas. We’re not going to be offering him another deal.
“We signed him on a short term contract to see how he’d do at a time when I felt we needed a physical presence and Martin Hardie was struggling with his fitness.
“But Martin has gone on to play pretty consistently and a lot more often than we’d envisaged at the start of the start of the season - so Nick’s opportunities have been restricted.’’
THE Dunkeld Road Saints Supporters Club is holding a Christmas sale of end of line St Johnstone gear. It’s been arranged in tandem with Surridge Sports. It takes place on Saturday from 10am to noon and on Sunday from 11am to 1pm.
ADMISSION to the Clyde game on December 27 is just £10 and £5.
