Airdrie United 1 St Johnstone 1
ST JOHNSTONE lost their game at Airdrie United with just a minute to go, but managed to take home a point.
The Perth side thought they were free and clear, but it was United sub Stephen Maguire who turned the win into a draw. The former Motherwell striker headed home a Joe Cardle cross at the near post with just a minute of this first division clash left at New Broomfield.
Kenny Black's men put in a tireless shift and could have opened the scoring just before half-time through Steven McDougall and Simon Lynch.
Former Celtic striker Lynch had a shot cleared off the line by defender Liam Craig with Saints breaking the deadlock in the 80th minute.
Full-back Willie McLachlan, who signed on-loan from Rangers on Friday morning, brought down Andy Jackson in the box with Craig netting the resulting spot-kick but Maguire saved Airdrie at the death.
