Geoff says steer clear

PERTH chairman Geoff Brown last night warned Inverness Caley Thistle to forget about trying to poach manager Derek McInnes.

The relegation haunted Highlanders yesterday parted company with Craig Brewster and, inevitably, highly regarded McInnes is said to feature on their wishlist.

But the Saints boss is under contract for 18 months and Brown said: “Derek has unfinished business here. He is an inexperienced manager doing a very good job for us.

“I’d have thought Inverness would be going for an experienced man looking for a quick fix. I would certainly fend off any approaches if they did ask to speak to Derek.”
