St Johnstone captain's back-to-back success

SAINTS captain Kevin Rutkiewicz has made it back to back PA Sport/George Wimpey player of the month awards.

And assistant manager Tony Docherty yesterday branded the defender “inspirational.”

But Docherty added that the skipper would be first to recognise the role of unsung hero Stuart McCaffrey for posting eight clean sheets in 12 games.

“Dinky has been one of many big players for us this season. He is inspirational. You saw that at Clyde in midweek with his first tackle on Willie McLaren.

“He is just so dominant and really has the bit between his teeth. He and Stuart are setting the tone from the off.”
