James back on board

CLUB captain Kevin James is back on board for the title-run-in and manager Derek McInnes was last night pursuing a left-back before today’s signing deadline.

The Perth manager said: “Hopefully we can get someone in. I know we have been here before but we have made a couple of inquiries. If we are unsuccessful, we will go with what we have for the last seven games.

Injury plagued central defender James has played five games for Ayr United since going out on an emergency loan.

And McInnes said: “We have had Kevin watched in four of them and he has done well.

“Ayr wanted his loan extended but it will be important to have his experience to call on.

“Kevin has taken confidence from playing regular and testing first team football.”
