It’s Millar-time in the Premier League stakes
CHRIS Millar rejected overtures and financial inducements to walk away
from a pre-contract commitment to Derek McInnes last year.
Ironically, his ambition to secure a ticket to the SPL was secured against his former club.
After turning in one of his finest performances in a Saints jersey, he
said: “I left Celtic six or seven years ago to join Morton and I’ve worked my way up through the leagues.
“Now I’m going back to the SPL. It proved I made the right decision to come here last summer. I’m grateful
to the manager for giving me the chance.
“We have a great blend in the squad. We showed against Morton we can handle the physical side.
“They were trying to rough us up but we played great football, especially in the second half.
“They couldn’t live with us.
“We played with real tempo and could have had five or six.
“And our fans were unbelievable again.
“They even topped the Dundee game.
