GORDON McNicol, of King James VI Golf Club, has just returned from the Highlands as the 2008 Highland Pan-Disability Champion.

The event, which attracted over 60 participants from all over the UK, is contested by Special Olympic competitors and open champions, as well as established golfers.

Played on Culcabock Course at Inverness, Gordon took the Mitchell Trophy by one shot with a superb 67.

Ray Smethurst, King James VI captain, said: “It’s another fine success by Gordon who continues to be an excellent ambassador for the club.”

This most recent success goes is now added to Gordon’s Special Olympic Gold Medal.
