MURRAYSHALL’S Gavin Dear enjoyed a fine performance on the continent.

The Scotland international impressed at the European Amateur Championship in Denmark.

His display, securing a sixth place finish in cosmopolitan field, augers well for the forthcoming Home Internationals.

Gavin was the second top Scot, completing a solid week's work with a second successive 70, following up on a brace of 72s, to finish level par for the event.
