THE King James VI 150th Anniversary Am-Am tournament, being played over the island course on Saturday, September 13, has once again attracted teams from all over Tayside.
Ian McPhee said: “Last year’s event was a sell-out and many of those who enjoyed a superb day have already signed up again. Some tee times are still available to book through Martin Butler at the golf club on 01738 445132.”
The event is organised by the island’s TH Promotions.
Professional Allan Knox is offering Perth youngsters a series of video lessons.
“This unique offer is a must for those youngsters who would like to try to emulate the likes of Tiger, Monty and Harrington,” said Allan.
“I want to get the kids at a really young age interested in golf. It's a fantastic form of exercise, very sociable and can be great fun as well as having a competitive edge. The video allows the youngsters to see their swing and helps them understand how to improve it.
“I am also starting group lessons later this month and hope that the offer for beginners makes it affordable to most.” The lessons start on Saturday, September 20, and cost £10 for four. These can be booked by calling Allan on 01738 632460.
