Meigle girl is US sensation

JACQUELINE Sneddon from Meigle – a student at Grand Canyon University, Arizona – finished joint second in the Grand Canyon Fall Invitational women's tournament at Coldwater Golf Club in Avondale.

Jacqueline – pictured below, the first round leader in the 36-hole event over a par-72, 6043yd course, returned scores of 73 and 75 for 148.

She was caught over the second round by Chelsa Helget (Sonoma State) whose posted the only sub-par round of the tournament.

It was still Jacqueline's best performance since she went to America for the start of the 2007-2008 term.

Grand Canyon University (619) finished second behind California Baptist (615) with Sonoma State (622) third of 15 teams.
