IT’S back to school this week for Big County golfing starlet Carly Booth.
The 18-year-old from Comrie is among four Scots battling for spots on the Ladies European Tour over the next few days.
Carly joins 92 other competitors sweating it out at the Qualifying School event being hosted by the Spanish resort of La Manga. There are just 20 passports onto the Tour up for grabs.
The 2008 Curtis Cup player sampled life on the Tour last season as a rookie having enjoyed success at Tour School 12 months ago.
But a 98th place finish wasn’t quite good enough to retain her card.
Big brother Wallace was out of luck with his own Q School classes in Spain and now Carly is hoping for a rapid return to the Ladies Tour.
She carded an opening round two over par 74 on Wednesday.
Earlier this year Carly bowed out of Glenalmond College to sample life on the circuit, with a Nike contract in the bag.
It had been her target ever since partnering Major winner Sandy Lyle to victory at the British Masters Pro-Am when she was just 12.
