Blair lad Brad in Italy

PERTHSHIRE golf starlet Bradley Neil is on an Italian job.

He went into action yesterday with a six-strong Scots team playing in the 2011 Boys Quadrangular event, facing the host nation Italy, France and Sweden at the Acaya Golf Resort.

Blairgowrie Golf Club’s youngest ever senior champion Bradley, winner of the Scottish and English Boys Under-14s Championships in 2010, makes his eagerly anticipated step up to Under 18s level. The action continues through to Sunday.

Former Open Championship silver medallist Stuart Wilson provides his experience to the young Scots as non-playing captain.

“The Boys Quadrangular Match is a great way to start the season for our leading boys and we’ll face some very strong competition from Italy, France and Sweden who all have fantastic records in developing excellent young golfers in recent years,” he said.

“We have a very talented squad. Scotland has a good record in this event and the boys are all really looking forward to the challenge.”
