Gleneagles’ pro wins award

GLENEAGLES’ Grant Smith is one of three high-flying PGA assistant professionals recognised for their achievements by TGI Golf – Europe’s leading buying group.

The awards, presented annually at each of the seven PGA regional AGM’s, salute TGI’s best-performing registered assistants on the three-year PGA foundation degree.

This is the fifth successive year that TGI Golf has sponsored the awards across all of the PGA regions, having supported the Scottish awards for a number of years previously.

The Scottish region winners are: Year One Grant Smith (Gleneagles), Year 2 David Patrick (Elie) and Year 3 Alan Gibson (Troon).

All of the recipients are members of the TGI Golf group, which has a membership of more than 400 golf professionals across the UK, Ireland and Holland.
