BLAIRGOWRIE’S Bradley Neil is looking to end his season on a high this weekend at the Junior Finale in St Andrews.
He’s among a star-studded field at The Duke’s Course, St Andrews for the end-of-season contest.
National winners and selected county and area champions from across Scotland will all assemble at the world-renowned Fife venue on Sunday in pursuit of the prestigious title which is being contested for a fifth time.
Sixty top young golfers – 42 boys and 18 girls – will battle it out over 18 holes of straight medal play to bring the curtain down on the junior season.
The Duke’s actually opened the Scottish golf season in the spring when the junior champions from 2010 all competed, but the 2011 staging of the dual SGU/SLGA event is now back in the calendar year.
Bradley, Blairgowrie's talented prospect, who finished a creditable second in the English Under-16 Boys' Open Stroke play in July the current Scottish Boys Champion, takes his place in a very formidable line-up.
Euan Mordaunt, SGU events manager, said: “The Scottish Junior Champion of Champions is a great way to recognise and celebrate the achievements of our junior golfers and a fitting finale to our 2011 playing season.”
