Pitlochry Golf Club hopes the introduction of new facilities in the spring will provide a platform to build on a memorable 2012 season which saw notable on-field success across the board.
The Highland Perthshire club is on course to open its new driving range and practice area and officials have been collating the achievements of the past 12 months.
Amongst the highlights was the Gents Team victory at the 2014 Ryder Cup venue, Gleneagles, in the Perth and Kinross Scratch League.
Olympic curler Eve Muirhead recorded a major win in the Ladies County Championship, with highly rated junior Blair Stewart also awarded a Gleneagles Scholarship.
Now, with major improvements only weeks away, officials believe the addition of the anticipated facilities will help them set new on-field goals for 2013 and beyond.
Club captain Jeff Carter said: “These are exciting times all round at Pitlochry Golf Club.
“The successes we have achieved on the course over the past year shows that we are heading in the right direction and are significant for a club of our size.
“With the new facilities set to open in spring, it can only help us as we look to this year and to the future.”
Team accolades for 2012 included the victory over Craigie Hill at Gleneagles in August by Mark Rose, Stephen Carruthers, Willie Hutton, Greg Carruthers and Alex Mair.
Earlier, Greg and Stephen Carruthers and John Jackson finished second to Blairgowrie in the Gents Club Team Championship at Auchterarder.
Notably, Hutton and Greg Carruthers earned call-ups to the County Gents coaching squads this winter on the back of those performances.
