Perthshire Rugby Club search for sponsors

PERTHSHIRE Rugby Football Club has achieved some remarkable successes in the 2007/8 season, with the 1st XV achieving fourth place in Premier 3, the 2nd XV winning their league undefeated, securing promotion, and the Sevens having a fantastic run.

Now officials are urging local businesses to get behind their local rugby team.

A new coaching team is in place and the club hopes to be pushing for promotion into Premier 2 at the end of the forthcoming season.

A club spokesman explained: “For the first time, Perthshire RFC is offering player sponsorship, an excellent way to give your backing to individual senior players – and the club.

“In return for your sponsorship of £250, you will have a variety of opportunities which will assist in raising the profile of your business.

“This is a cost-effective method of marketing, which will run for the entire season.

“The cash injection will also help the club to continue to develop its senior and youth squads.”

Opportunities also exist for advertising in PRFC’s new- look match programme for 2008/9 at very reasonable rates.
