Big County players ready to take on world’s best

RORY Lamont returns to the Scotland side for tomorrow’s Murrayfield clash with world champions South Africa.

The flying winger, who hails from Blairgowrie, will be covering for injured older brother Sean who was ruled out of the rest of the Bank of Scotland Corporate Autumn Test series after suffering a hamstring injury against the All Blacks last weekend.

Scotland team doctor James Robson said: “A scan has shown a small amount of damage to Sean’s hamstring – enough to rule him out of the remainder of the Tests.”

Rory, who plays for Sale Sharks, missed the defeat to the All Blacks with a shoulder problem. This will be his 18th cap.

Meanwhile, Crieff’s Simon Taylor, the Stade Francais No 8, who missed the game against the All Blacks with a calf strain, did some light running this week and remains with the squad.

Tickets for the big match are available until midnight, via the Scottish Rugby website (www.scottishrugby.org) or our credit card hotline 0131 346 5100.

Please note a booking fee applies to all transactions and that there are no ticket sales on match day.

Tickets cost £20, £30 and £50 for adults and £10, £15 and £25 for under-18s and full-time students.
