Portobello tournament for Shire’s mini teams

THIS Sunday all Minis will be travelling to Portobello for their rearranged tournament. Teams have to register at 10.30am so all players should meet at the Bell’s Car Park at 9am. Match subs are payable on the day.

Twelve teams have already entered for this year’s social and super leagues, which kick-off on May 26.

The organisers are hoping that there will be a flurry of entries in the next week. Teams are made up of 10 players (two must be female in the social league) and the entry fee is £60.

Entry forms for the Summer Touch Tournament are still available from the Rugby Development Team and those wishing to enter a team should contact Andy Cummins as soon as possible on 07717 798698.

The P6 Minis will also be at the away tournament in Portobello on Sunday.

As they can take just one team, only players selected by e-mail will travel.

Meet at Bell’s at 9am, £2 match fees apply. Training for the P6s on Sunday has been cancelled.
