PERTHSHIRE’S 1st and 2nd XV's had to endure yet another weekend with no competitive matches due to frozen pitches.
Both teams are hoping to head west tomorrow to play Cartha Queens Park where a win for the 1st's is crucial.
Third bottom team, Musselburgh, have a much strengthened squad now and they had a tremendous victory over high flying Hamilton last week.
Musselburgh's revival has now resulted in no fewer than seven teams battling it out to avoid relegation.
Thanks to losing four games through last minute tries or penalties, Shire are well and truly in that mix and the club needs all players and supporters to get behind the team for the remaining games.
Due to both teams travelling to Cartha, there will not be a lot of room for supporters to travel in the team bus on Saturday but the team are desperate for as many supporters as possible to be there.
The team is entering a crucial phase of the season which will see the club finish near the top of the table or well down.
All players will need to give their all in every single one of the remaining matches and each game from now on will be won by the team with the greatest will to win.
Perthshire have played some tremendous rugby this season, followed by some mediocre games, but two wins out of two away from home since New Year have given the boys heart and as witnessed in the previous game against Cartha at the North Inch, Shire's impressive forwards have the power and skill to set up a win tomorrow.
All clubs in Scotland who run reserve teams will be asked to vote whether they wish to retain the present two National Leagues followed by Regional Leagues and until the outcome of that ballot has taken place, Shire will not know whether the 2nds are fighting to stay in their league as well.
Until that decision is reached then the 2nds will be equally determined to win their remaining games.
All in all it promises to be an enthralling end to the season for the club and it would make the players' job much easier if they had the support of every single person who has the club's future at heart.
They have two away games and four home games left and captain Ali Anderson wants the North Inch to echo with the shouts from 500 Perthshire supporters at all the remaining home games.
In addition to the league, Shire still have a match to be played in the Scottish Hydro Premier Cup on March 13 and it looks as though that could be away to Boroughmuir.
The bus will leave Perth at noon tomorrow.
