Perthshire junior rugby update

PERTHSHIRE Junior Rugby:

Colts: With the U15s scheduled to play Highland RUFC this weekend, there has been an invitation to play Highland Colts on the same day, and weather permitting both sides will travel to Inverness early Saturday morning.

All those concerned should check the club website for details.

Training continues with the senior squad over the next few weeks and players are advised to bring both trainers and boots to all sessions.

Next week’s sessions will be at Bell’s and those attending should be ready for 6.45pm.

Minis and Eaglets Christmas Party: The Christmas party will be held at Bell’s Sport Centre this Sunday from 6.30-8pm, so there will be no training in the morning.

Playing courts, bouncy castle and soft play area have been booked so that the coaches can provide a number of games and activities on the night.

The session will conclude with a visit from a familiar figure in red.

The cost for the party will be £2 per child to be paid on the day.

All those wishing to attend should contact their respective coaches.

Coaching update: There is an invitation to all Perthshire and local coaches to attend the launch of the SRU Key National themes on January 24.

There will be a practical session looking at the Key National Themes as well as information on local Key National Theme updates and how this will fit into the new player pathway for U14 and U15 players.

Tayside and Fife Key National Themes Regional Launch: Monday, January 24, Loch Leven Community Campus, Kinross. Tea and coffee at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start.
