Cold snap brings ‘phobia’ to youth rugby

A MYSTERY illness that has suddenly swept through the Colts Squad has finally been diagnosed by local medical experts in the last few days.

The Perthshire coaches were initially told that the mysterious “bug” that had decimated numbers at training was a bout of chiono phobia but after further detailed investigation a specialist has pinpointed the real cause for the dramatic reduction in those attending training is an outbreak of kopophobia.

Thankfully, the Perthshire coaching staff have been informed that the problem can be easily treated but it does require a commitment from those who have been infected to attend regular treatments during the next few weeks.

The coaches are treating the “infection” with the utmost urgency and have organised an emergency clinic this Thursday, at the new North Inch Campus School, at 6.30-8pm.

Those unsure of the location can meet at Bells at 6.15pm and don’t forget to bring indoor “quarantined” training kit.

MINIS –The final minis session of the year will be held in the large gymnasium of the New North Inch Campus (Old St.Columba‘s) between 10-noon on Sunday.

The session will be made up of a number of fun games and activities and those attending are advised to bring plenty of fluids on the day and their £1 training fee.

This is the final session of the year and details of the New Year programme will be posted very soon.

Those who are feeling energetic may be interested in playing at the Club New Year’s Touch Rugby which will take place on the North Inch – whatever the conditions – on January 1 with a 1pm kick off.

All the mini coaches would like to wish all the players and their families a very Happy Christmas and we look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.
