PERTH Strathtay Harrier Niamh Guest has been in fine form.
She made for the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham to compete in the AAAs indoor athletics championships – the major event for teenage athletes in Britain – and reached the final of the Under 15 girls 60-metre hurdles, with a seventh place finish.
The Perth Grammar School youngster, who is inspired by Commonwealth Games silver medal winner Eilidh Child, raced at Sunday’s Scottish indoor championships at Glasgow’s Kelvin Hall.
Niamh bagged silver medal in the hurdles and toasted a new personal best time.
She then went on to win the Under 15 girls triple jump with a championship best performance of 9.56 metres. The second year Grammar School athlete trains regularly with the Strathtay Harriers
