PERTH Strathtay Harrier athlete Louise Brett has been travelling the UK in pursuit of sprint glory over the past couple of weeks.
Louise has returned from London where she competed in the Cerebral Palsy Grand Prix at Perivale.
She ran the 100m in 18.61s and the 200m in 38.44s – just a fraction outside her personal best. This was just a week after Louise competed in Merseyside championships in Liverpool in her sprint events.
Finlay Skeet has been selected for the Tayside team to complete in the Scottish Junior Disability Championships to be held at Grangemouth on Wednesday.
Finlay will compete in the 100m and long jump events.
He hopes to join his team mates including Louise at this event to compete against the best young stars of disability athletics in the country.
The commitment of these young athletes and their parents has already provided a successful start to the 2011 season.
The Harriers are grateful to The Gannochy Trust performance scheme administered through Live Active Leisure for helping these young people fulfil their athletic potential.
