Perth Road Runners were delighted to welcome marathon specialist Dr Andrew Murray to their annual presentation evening at Perth’s Lovat Hotel.
Dr Murray gave an inspiring talk about his exploits which included his recent seven ultras on seven continents in seven days adventure.
There was also a multitude of awards, trophies and medals which awarded to club members on the night.
Running in the Devil’s Burden Hill Relay Race and finishing 48th from 113 teams were the Kinnoull Runners Down mixed team.
Mathew McCullagh ran the first split in a time of 00.33.34, John Harper and Andrew Blaikie completed the second in 01.25.36, Claire Douglas of Perth Road Runners completed the third in 00.31.50 and finally Laura Jarvis and Rachel Blaikie who ran a time of 00.56.51. The team finished with an overall time of 03.27.51.
Another Perth Road Runners member running at the Devil’s Burden Race was Joan Wilson, although this time in the colours of Carnethy. She finished 80th from the 113 teams who entered the Carnethy Ladies V50 racing in the Female 40s.
